Holy Ground - A Song for Temenos

While I was at Mu cabin at Temenos last year (sacred land in Shutesbury, MA - an amazing retreat center for spiritual seekers and nature lovers), this song came to me almost fully formed as I snowshoed up the hill in the full moonlight. I'm sure it was sent to me by the Nature Spirits of the land.

Here's the link to hear the music:

Here are the words:

Holy Ground (written/channeled by Sherry Zitter 1-11 at Mu, Temenos)

1. Full moon on the path guides me on my way,
Mountain spirit calls me, bids me come and stay,
Hawk and snowshoe hare share blessings that abound:
REFRAIN:   Enter sacred space, honor holy ground.
2. Labyrinth awaits, in the soft pine wood,
Feel its power change us, as we know it could,
Drawn into its center, silent and profound,
Enter sacred space, tread on holy ground.
Bridge: Temenos is here, welcoming us all,
We need but to listen, and answer her sweet call,
When we seek and falter -- miracles astound!
Enter sacred space, honor holy ground.
3. Heartbeat of the land, constant through the years,
She holds all our future, with its hopes and fears,
We vow to protect Her, keep Her strong and sound,
Enter sacred space, honor holy ground.
4. Wherever we roam, Temenos is nigh,
Breathe into your heart, feel the Earth and Sky,
She is all your treasures, a home that you have found,
Enter sacred space, honor holy ground. (repeat slowly)
